We Asked and Anna Answered …

Q1:  What do you consider to be the central plot of your story?

Billionaire 42 tells the story of Blake Greystoke and Lissa Trade, two people who want the same thing, but have no idea how to get it, until a sensual live-stream matchmaking show brings them together.

Q2:  When did you know you were destined to be a writer?

When I contracted with a publisher for my first book, The Horse List, is when I realized that I was destined to be a published writer. I’ve always written stories and poems, but those were all written for a specific person in mind. It wasn’t until I began struggling with insomnia that I started writing stories for a different reason. I had all this extra time that I had been filling with reading until my husband suggested I write a novel. It took a while for his suggestion to sink in, but once it did, I borrowed my son’s laptop and began writing stories that I would share with my friends. It was my friends who encouraged me to seek publication, and to them I’ll forever be thankful.

Speed Round (just to get to know you better):

  1. Coffee, tea, or other? I just bought an espresso machine “for my husband” to make cappuccinos and lattes. I recently discovered bullet-proof coffee. It’s a creamy, caffeine-boost that helps me focus and feel alert.
  2. Music preference? I like a lot of different music, but find myself back at country more than anything else. But, what do you expect? I have lived in Tennessee and Texas for the last fifteen years.
  3. Favorite movie? There isn’t a clear answer, one day it might be romance, or the next day it might be comedy, or the next day it might be adventure.
  4. Dog, cat, or other? I’ve just increased my pack with a rambunctious black lab puppy – Rachel. I got my latest puppy on a drive home from Louisiana.
  5. Favorite author? I don’t have just one. My recent favorites are Lorelei James, Shayla Black, Victoria Davies, Serena Bell, Jeanine Frost, and Grace Goodwin.

Wearing a suit and tie, Blake sat in a high, black-leather bar chair next to Evan, the director. Black pipe and drape sectioned off the Lover’s private entrance and exit to the studio.

Ready to get this thing over with and start his life with Lis, Blake waited for the interview to start.

“Did you know Kitten 42 before you came here?” Evan asked.

“Yes,” Blake said. I am not telling you shit.

Evan glanced at his tablet and rolled his eyes. “Was she your first virgin?”

“Yes,” Blake said.

Evan glanced down between Blake’s legs.  The camera zoomed in on the bulge highlighted in the fitted suit.

“Happy with the outcome?” Evan asked.

“Very,” Blake said. “Can I have just a second?”

Evan nodded. “We’ll be back soon. Keep the questions coming…And we’re off. What’s up?”

“What is Lis being asked? What is she saying? I thought we were going to be interviewed together.” I want her here so I can talk some sense into her. She has to come back to work. I’ll give her time to study. I’ll help her succeed.

“Same types of questions,” Evan said. He turned his baseball cap around to the back.

“You were supposed to be interviewed together, but whatever you two were whispering about got both of you upset. I can’t have that on the stream. So, this is a way for both of you to cool off and regroup. Marriage is the ultimate goal here. You want marriage and so does she. Let’s find a way to get you and your kitten to the altar.” He flipped the bill of his hat around and tugged it down.

The red light of the camera behind Evan turned on.

“What do you envision your near future to be like?” Evan asked. “Kitten 42 pregnant in my bed.”

About the Author

An avid romance reader, Anna Lores started writing steamy romance novels as a by-product of insomnia.
